La banda danesa de death melódico Mercenary se ha visto obligada a cancelar la gira española que tenía previsto comenzar mañana junto al grupo bilbaíno The Descent.

"It's with heavy hearts that we have to announce that our tour to Spain and Portugal next week have to be cancelled for health reasons.

No one is in any acute medical emergency, but our singer René had to be hospitalized earlier this week for severe chest pains. After receiving proper care and lots of really effin' strong painkillers, he's back home and doing fine, but even though the doctors haven't found any physical illness and believe that he will be fine, they strongly advise against any physically demanding activity in the near future.

We realize that this will be terribly disappointing for everyone who has been looking forward to our return to Spain, and we are of course also terribly sorry about the state of affairs ourselves, but it's simply a matter of having to prioritize a person's health rather than gambling with it.

Finally, we would like to thank Quintas from ITP Promotions for all the hard work he has put into this tour and we hope that it will be possible to reschedule the dates later on.
